Laura grew up in Monroe, Louisiana, and later transitioned to Baton Rouge for college at LSU. She attended LSUHSC New Orleans for graduate school and recently graduated this May.

 

Laura is beginning her clinical fellowship year with us at Bloom. She has experience in several pediatric settings, including schools, outpatient clinics, and the NICU/PICU in which she gained high level experience with premature infants and traumatic brain injuries. She has participated in multidisciplinary clinics, including high-risk newborn, autism, and Down syndrome clinics, where she gained more knowledge and skills in pediatric language and feeding.

 

Laura has a strong passion for pediatric feeding and experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies. She especially loves working with infant bottle feeding and the birth-to-three population, bringing compassion, joy, and fun into all therapy sessions!
